The day to day support worker role in Dyserth will include working alongside a colleague to support a young woman who has learning disabilities, epilepsy and traits of autism in her own home.  She enjoys a very busy and active lifestyle and needs support in many areas, this could be helping to prepare meals, doing everyday chores, attending activities in the community, meeting friends and family, visiting health professionals, assisting with personal care.  They love gardening, climbing, going on adventures, crafts and trying new things.

You will need: -Clear and confident communication skills, a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to assist people with what is important to them including personal care. The ability to remain calm under pressure and a genuine interest in helping people.

We provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Shifts are a mixture of early, late and waking nights. Full and Part time positions available. Night shift only contracts will be considered.

We would like to get to know our future employees and for you to get to know us before committing to a permanent role. You will have the opportunity to meet potential future colleagues that, if successful, you will attend induction training together. We will guide you through several work-based activities to enable you to get a full understanding of what the Support worker role entails. Therefore, following selection all candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Day. Our Assessment Day will take place in Ewloe from 09:15 – 12:30

The next Assessment Day will take place on:

Friday 4th August 2023

Starting at 09:15

Finishing at 12:30

Successful candidates will be invited to join our induction cohort commencing on:

Monday 4th September 2023 at Unit 4, Evolution House, Lakeside Business Village, St David’s Business Park, Ewloe, subject to satisfactory references and Right to Work checks.
