We are looking for Support workers who enjoy being active, are predictable and able to cook a roast dinner to work alongside colleagues supporting up to three individuals with Learning Disabilities and health related difficulties in their own home.

They each have unique interests, likes and dislikes. Your role is to provide person-centred support to enhance quality of life. Day to day, you will use active support to encourage completion of everyday chores, going to activities, attending college or work placements, meeting friends and family, visiting health professionals, assisting with personal care and limiting unstructured time. They each have a special interest and can become fixated which could limit engagement in other activities. As support worker, you will provide a structure of interesting activities which ensures they can lead a meaningful life accessing the community whilst keeping unpredictable and stressful situations to a minimum to reduce anxiety. You will provide support to learn new skills, develop use of communication aids and achieve long term goals.

We would like to get to know our future employees and for you to get to know us before committing to a permanent role. You will have the opportunity to meet potential future colleagues that, if successful, you will attend induction training together. We will guide you through several work-based activities to enable you to get a full understanding of what the Support worker role entails. Therefore, following selection all candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Day. Our Assessment Day will take place in Ewloe from 09:15 – 12:30.

The next Assessment Day will take place on:

Friday 4th August 

Starting at 09:15

Finishing at 12:30

Successful candidates will be invited to join our induction cohort commencing on:

Monday 4th September at Unit 4, Evolution House, Lakeside Business Village, St David’s Business Park, Ewloe, subject to satisfactory references and Right to Work checks.
