Service Manager – Learning Disabilities/Complex needs

We are looking for an experienced, highly innovative, resourceful and compassionate Service Manager to lead a team of Support Workers to provide care and support to 3 gentleman who have learning disabilities in a supported living service in Broughton, Flintshire.

 

You will be responsible for the line management of the staff team and the quality and compliance within the service. Reporting to our Service Delivery Manager, you will lead the team to ensure individuals receive the highest standard of care and support, whilst building positive relationships with the individuals receiving support, their families and external agencies.

You will form an integral part of the management team, working with the Service Delivery Manager to make sure the services fulfil potential to become market leaders, but most importantly, make sure the individuals we support lead a good person-centred life with fulfilled ambitions.

 

You will also work alongside our team of managers to complete on call support on a rotational basis.

Desirable

 

  • Experience of working with people who have Epilepsy, learning disabilities, and mental health
  • Ability to speak, understand, read and write the Welsh language.

 

Essential

 

  • Experience of managing domiciliary care services and/or supported living services
  • A commitment to working according to the organisation’s Values.
  • Experience of line managing staff.
  • Experience of building relationships with outside agencies.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Good written and verbal communication and ICT skills
  • Have at least NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care and also have or be willing to complete NVQ4/QCF5 Health and Social Care Management Award within 18 months of appointment.
  • Full driver’s license and own vehicle
